Unconventional Mosaic Art – Nathalie Boutté

Nathalie Boutté lives and works in Montreuil, France. Self-taught, she makes exquisite, experimental collages which focus on the experience of working with cut papers. Her materials include long strips of paper, tracing paper, Indian ink, and sometimes gold sheets. By layering the papers, she creates beautiful textures. Many of the works have a mosaic feel. The beauty lies in the soft nature of the paper and the fragility of the pieces.
