Atlantic City‘s Tropicana Casino and Resort just introduced their new high roller suites known as Cielo Suites. Cielo, meaning the sky in Spanish, compliments Tropicana’s splendor, classic latin style theme throughout the casino and resort. Each Cielo suite is unique and can range from 500 square feet to 1,600 square feet.
Special touches like leveled temperature wine storage, wet bars, dining areas, open living rooms, modern lighting and enchanting bedrooms all give Cielo guests an exclusive experience. But in our modest opinion, the best detail of the suites is the Artaic custom mosaic pattern in each of the bathrooms.
The mosaic feature uses 1/2″ sintered glass to display a custom floral pattern that blends seamlessly with the verdant, airy design of the rest of suite. Artaic produced a total of 850 sqft of mosaic for the, what used to be 88 rooms, now 26 newly upstaged contemporary luxury Cielo suites.
The creative masterminds behind the $5 million Cielo Suite project are WESTAR Architects: Paul Heretakis, Principal; Lora Hunsaker, Project Manager; Ali Alonzo and Elizabeth Cohen, Architect Team; Sam Aton, Rudy Hernandex and Noli Sarmiento, Decorator Team. The architectural firm is popularly known for its casino and resort projects, but have an impressive array of talents from interior design to branding and restaurant development services to the whole master planning.
Tony Rodio, president and chief executive officer of Tropicana says, “You don’t have to be a top of the line player to experience top-of-the-line accommodations at Tropicana. For those looking to treat themselves to some true pampering, the Cielo Suites deliver. I can’t think of a better place to celebrate a milestone like a wedding, engagement, birthday, anniversary or bachelor or bachelorette party.” So if your interested in indulging, Select Cielo Suites are available Sunday through Thursday evenings with rates starting at $600 per night for Super Suites and $800 per night for Penthouses. The 500 square foot mini suite starts at $400 per night. But don’t be too overwhelmed to take in the beauty of the mosaics!
