Sintered Glass

Sintered Glass

The Sintered Glass tile line is one of the most versatile and earth-friendly mosaic materials offered.

Artaic Sintered Glass tile is a 98% pre-consumer (equivalent to 49% post-consumer) recycled glass product.

The glass used in the creation of the sintered glass are sourced from a window pane factory local to the tile production facility. The glass is cleaned, ground to powder, mixed with color, pressed into the tile shapes, conveyed through a linear kiln that heats the mixture just below melting point and finally cooled back to room temperature. The final two steps are known as the sintering process that results in the tile’s strength and light commercial floor rating.

The durability and wide selection of vibrant colors makes it the perfect choice for commercial applications.
